So this was actually something that I wrote up a while ago, but I'm just now posting it because I felt like finally posting it here.  It's one of those things that I've held in reserve for wanting something as a back up, in case I felt the urge to upload something but wasn't able to finish whatever I was working on.

But yeah. I don't really adhere completely to either the concept that the Changelings are a hive-mind society OR that they're a caste society based off feudal Japan like a lot of people prefer. I prefer something just sort of in the middle of the two, with assassination and subterfuge encouraged secretly in order for one to gain a rise in the ranks. (Not too unlike the matriarchal, violent drow societies of D&D, specifically in the Forgotten Realms.)

And believe it or not, Chrysalis is probably my least favorite villain because I feel like she's too sympathetic to be a villain, but I couldn't help but write how I felt she became the queen and rose to power. The idea simply wouldn't leave me alone. That being said, the rather violent, matricide sort of way in which this occurs is why I threw up a Mature Content filter, just to be on the safe side. For those of you curious about what the title means, it's Latin, with a rough translation of "Long Live The Queen!"
